Should I lower RAM frequency for R6 Siege stability?
This RAM frequency seemed solid on paper, but under pressure, it was a joke. I had four BSODs in one session, and the error codes looked like random gibberish. I tried killing every single background process, which helped for a bit, but as soon as the action peaked, it crashed again. I decided to just brute-force it by downclocking from 3200MHz to 2933MHz and locking the voltage at 1.35V. In my monitoring panel, the memory error rate dropped from 0.4% to a flat 0%, and frame times stabilized from a messy 8-35ms to a clean 7-14ms. I actually messed up the tRAS parameter during the first attempt, which caused a slight memory overflow and almost panicked me into thinking I'd fried the kit. CPU temps were 66-72℃ and RAM sat at 48-54℃. I logged the voltage curves via system logs, with fans humming steadily at 1400-1600RPM.
