Stabilizing CPU Frequency on Cooler Master Hyper 612 APEX
Using this cooler for a game this demanding is almost a joke. During elite monster encounters, my frame rate would plummet from 90 to 45 FPS. The GamePP sensor page showed CPU temps hitting a wall at 94°C, triggering a severe frequency crash. I tried limiting the max power in the drivers, but that just slowed down loading screens without fixing the drops—completely pointless. I eventually went into the GamePP Fan Curve Config Panel and maxed out the slope for the 75°C-85°C range, forcing the pump and fans to full blast during heat spikes. In 3DMark, the core frequency fluctuation was squeezed into a narrow 4.2-4.5 GHz window, significantly stabilizing the FPS.
