Managing DDR5 Temperatures in Silksong
My G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR5 6000 was hitting 85℃, causing severe downclocking in Hollow Knight: Silksong. The fans were spinning at a low 800 RPM, making the noise unbearable. I tried setting the fans to max speed manually, but it barely changed the temperature. I needed a smarter approach. I used GamePP’s Fan Curve Configurator to set a curve between 1200-1500 RPM. RivaTuner now shows the temperature stable at 72℃, with fan speeds hovering around 1400-1600 RPM. The throttling is gone, and the game runs smoothly without the thermal noise.
