Stopping the Vastarmor RX 9060 XT from crashing in Shadow of the Erdtree
The factory OC on this card feels like a gamble; as soon as I enter the dense forests of the Shadow Realm, the system just gives up and crashes to desktop. It's honestly pathetic. When handling 4K textures, the memory controller on the Vastarmor RX 9060 XT showed clear signal jitter at 1.3V, leading to frequent memory checksum errors. I tried enabling Large Page Support in Windows, but that just ate another 2GB of RAM without fixing a single crash—felt like trying to catch water with a sieve. I finally just capped the max frequency at 2600MHz in the driver and killed all unnecessary background indexing services. In OCCT memory stress tests, the errors that used to pop up every ten minutes completely vanished. Interestingly, the first time I capped the clock, I lost about 10 FPS, but I managed to get that back by slightly tweaking the memory clock. Core temps are now 62-70℃, while VRAM is hot at 85-92℃. I exported the crash logs to verify the memory overflows are gone, and fans are steady at 1400-1600RPM.
