Why is my Colorful RTX 5080 Ultra W OC clocking down in Valorant?
During a precision snipe, my frames would just plummet for no reason, which is honestly insane for a top-tier 5080. The GamePP Hardware Sensor Page revealed that because Valorant is low-load, the core clock was bouncing violently between 800MHz and 2100MHz, causing frame times to jitter between 15-40ms. I tried the 'Prefer Maximum Performance' setting in the NVIDIA driver, but weirdly, the frequency of the drops actually increased, which made me really cautious about further tweaks. I then switched to the GamePP Power Plan Switcher, locked the system into 'Ultimate Performance' mode, and set the game process to 'Realtime' in the Resource Scheduler.
