Why is my Great Wall GW3300 1TB causing frame drops in The First Descendant?

During massive mob fights, the game would just randomly drop frames, which is a death sentence for an action game. Monitoring via the GamePP Hardware Sensor Page, I saw the Great Wall GW3300's I/O bus load swinging violently between 35-65ms, creating a nasty scheduling conflict between resource loading and CPU calculations. I tried disabling all non-essential background services in the driver, but while CPU usage went down, the frame drops didn't budge. It was a confusing situation. I then used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to move the queue depth from 1024 to 2048 and enabled the forced write cache flush. The smoothness during combat improved noticeably, and the stuttering vanished.
