How to stabilize DeepCool AK620 WHITE temps in First Descendant?
During fast scene transitions, I was seeing these random 15 FPS drops that made the game feel janky. Hardware checks showed that once the CPU hit 90℃, it triggered a forced throttle mode, which tanked the processing efficiency and created a massive rendering pipeline delay. I tried messing with Windows power management first, but that was a complete waste of time for a hardware overheating issue. I ended up stripping it down and reapplying LTM thermal interface material and synced the fan curve directly to the CPU sensor. In the real-time monitor, temps plummeted from 92℃ - 98℃ down to 72℃ - 78℃, and the read/write speeds stabilized. I actually applied too much paste at first and it leaked slightly, but a quick cleanup with isopropyl alcohol fixed it. CPU is now 68℃ - 75℃ and RAM is 42℃ - 48℃. Stress tests confirm the clocks aren't fluctuating anymore.
