Solving Texture Loss in NYC
Swooping through Manhattan, I noticed that some building textures were missing, appearing as weird grey blocks. I tried updating drivers via Device Manager, but it led to frequent 0x000000EF Blue Screens, which made me very cautious. I used the GamePP Peripheral Driver Conflict Detection Tool to identify the conflict and performed a low-level driver rollback. RivaTuner showed frame time fluctuations dropping from 15-50ms to 10-14ms, and internal reads hit 6800-7100MB/s.
