Fixing NVMe I/O Blocking
When loading 4K textures, the screen would freeze for 0.7 seconds without warning—a destructive experience in an open-world game. I initially tried installing the game on a SATA drive, but loading times jumped from 12 to 40 seconds and the stuttering persisted, making me very cautious. I entered the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration, increased the depth to 2048, and optimized the cache. CrystalDiskMark confirmed 4K random reads improved to 78-85 MB/s, with HWInfo reporting drive temps at 42-50℃ and GamePP showing 18-22GB memory usage.
