Fixing peripheral driver conflicts on ASRock H310CM-ITX/ac?
During intense combat in Primal Carnage, I noticed the frame time was acting up, spiking from 16ms to 50ms randomly. It wasn't a full crash, but the micro-stuttering ruined my aiming precision. I checked CPU and GPU loads, but both were in the green, so I suspected the I/O bus. Using the GamePP Peripheral Driver Conflict Detector, I found an ancient HID driver spamming interrupt requests, which delayed the game's capture service. I carefully set that redundant service to 'Manual' and monitored the frame time curve in RivaTuner. The spikes immediately vanished, and the range tightened to 16-18ms. After several stress tests, I confirmed the peripherals were no longer choking the main process.
