How to remove micro-stutters when loading levels in Mario emulator?

Using high-res emulator images caused these annoying short pauses every time I entered a new level, which is fatal for a precision platformer. I tried enabling pre-load mode in the emulator settings; while the initial load was faster, the in-game stutters remained. I then used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to increase the queue depth to 2048 and optimized the write cache flush. Now it's perfect. DiskSpd stabilized random reads at 68-75 MB/s, AIDA64 showed the 75-92ms latency gone, and HWMonitor recorded 46-52℃.
