Fixing Intel 760P 512GB slow loads in Mass Effect LE
Whenever I switch planets, the loading bar just stops at 80% for several seconds; it's a very noticeable lag in the Legendary Edition. The Intel 760P uses QLC NAND, and once that simulated SLC cache runs dry during huge sequential reads, speeds tank to below 600MB/s. I tried lowering texture quality to ease the RAM pressure, but the drive latency stayed the same—a very cautious approach that did basically nothing.
