Reducing NVMe Load Times
Every time I jumped across the map, the endless loading screens made me wonder if my drive was broken; it's exhausting. I tried updating the SSD firmware, but the loading time only dropped by 1 second, which was barely perceptible. I used GamePP to increase the NVMe queue depth from 32 to 128 and forced PCIe Gen3 mode. CrystalDiskMark showed 4K reads improved to 68-75MB/s, and HWiNFO showed drive temps at 42-48℃.
