Fixing memory bandwidth issues for Kingbank Yin Jue 32GB in GTA V
During fast scene transitions, I was seeing random 18-frame jumps, which made the experience feel janky. A hardware check revealed that while the RAM was detected, it was running in single-channel mode, cutting my bandwidth in half and stalling the rendering pipeline. I tried messing with processor scheduling in Windows, but that was a complete waste of time. I shut everything down, reseated the sticks into slots 2 and 4, and manually enabled Dual Channel in the BIOS. In AIDA64, read speeds jumped from 28 GB/s to 48 GB/s, and frame times stabilized from 14-28ms to 8-13ms. I actually had a boot failure after the first reseat until I cleaned the gold contacts with an eraser. CPU temps are 61-67℃ and VRMs are 51-57℃. Benchmark tests confirm the bandwidth is fully unlocked, and the game is finally smooth.
