My CPU is overheating during intense fights despite using a PA120 V3. How do I handle this?

During massive boss battles, my core temps would spike to 92-96℃, triggering a throttle that made the gameplay feel choppy. After analyzing the logs, I realized the default fan curve on the PA120 V3 was way too slow below 80℃, letting heat build up in the core before the fins could even get a breeze. I tried just cranking the fans to 100% in software, but the noise was like a helicopter taking off in my room—completely unacceptable. I went back into the BIOS and set up a stepped fan curve, ensuring that once the CPU hits 75℃, the fans jump to 85% speed, and I tightened the mounting pressure on the cooler base. HWiNFO showed temps dropping from 95℃ to 78-84℃, with frequencies stabilizing between 4.8-5.2GHz. I actually had a temperature spike during the reinstall because I messed up the thermal paste application, but a fresh clean and a cross-pattern spread fixed it. The CPU now sits at 82℃ with noise levels that don't drive me crazy. Five hours of testing confirm no more throttling, and stability is verified.
