Solving Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6400 timing issues in Far Cry 7?
Whenever I flicked my view in the jungle, the screen would give this slight twitch, which is incredibly distracting in an open-world game. The default XMP on this Corsair Vengeance kit was causing 12-18ms of scheduling delay, making frame times jump between 16-32ms. I tried a BIOS update first, but the frequency randomly dropped to 4800MHz, which just added to my stress. I finally went manual in the BIOS, setting timings to 32-38-38-80 and upping the voltage to 1.42V. AIDA64 showed latency tightening from 78ns to 62-66ns. I did hit a black screen on the first attempt, but loosening tRFC to 480 fixed the boot loop. RAM is now 45-51℃ and the CPU is 68-74℃. The stuttering is gone, though I'm still wary of any further BIOS updates.
