Solving memory overflows on Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200
Once I started exploring the deeper parts of the map, the game just started crashing randomly. It's the worst feeling when you don't know when the next crash is coming. The 16GB on my Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz was getting absolutely hammered, with usage pinned between 15.2-15.8GB, which triggered the system's forced memory reclamation. I tried lowering all the texture qualities, which saved about 1GB, but the crashes still happened. It was obvious that memory fragmentation was the real killer here. I went into the system settings and manually expanded the virtual memory to 24GB and turned on memory compression. In AIDA64, the read/write speeds stayed stable at 42-46GB/s, and I managed to run it for 5 hours without a single error. I actually messed up the first attempt by putting the page file on an old HDD, which added 20 seconds to the loading times. Moved it to the SSD and it was fixed. Temps were 40-46℃. Ran MemTest86 to be sure, and it's finally stable.
