Fixing memory bandwidth lag on ASRock A320M in Dying Light 2
When jumping between skyscrapers, the distant building textures would just pop in late, which is incredibly distracting during fast parkour. I checked the GamePP Resource Scheduler Panel and found that due to the motherboard's bus limits, the memory controller was hitting high latencies of 110-130 ns. I tried increasing virtual memory to 64GB, but that just hammered my disk I/O and actually increased the stuttering—a classic case of software trying to fix a hardware bottleneck. I eventually set the game process to 'High' priority and used the GamePP Memory Controller Load Monitor to suspend all non-essential background services.
