Resource Scheduling for Cities: Skylines II
Running Cities: Skylines II with heavy MODs caused my frame rate to fluctuate wildly, which was annoying. GPU-Z showed my Gainward RTX 5060 Tempest OC's VRAM usage staying above 90%, indicating a potential bottleneck. I tried clearing background processes, but system service interference persisted, and I was worried about hardware limitations. I needed a way to prioritize the game over other system tasks. I used the GamePP Resource Scheduler panel to raise the game process priority to Real-time level. Benchmark tests confirmed VRAM usage dropped to 80% per HWiNFO64. The frame rate stabilized at 80 FPS, with AIDA64 showing a core temperature of 65-70°C and a frame time of 12.4-13.
