Fixing NVMe I/O Blocking
Exploring giant creature habitats, the screen freezes without warning for 0.8 seconds, which is devastating in a survival game. I tried moving the game to a SATA SSD, but loading times jumped from 15s to 50s and stutters remained, making me very cautious. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configurator to increase depth to 2048 and updated the firmware. CrystalDiskMark confirmed I/O response time stabilized at 2-5ms, 4K random reads hit 78-85 MB/s, and disk temp stayed at 42-50℃ per HWMonitor.
