Why is random read/write latency high at 200us in Returnal with Samsung 990 PRO 4TB?

Combat in Returnal was stuttering badly. My Samsung 990 PRO 4TB random read/write latency hit 200us. I tried disabling TRIM, but performance dropped further. That was a bad move. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to enable the Smart TRIM strategy. Stress tests confirmed latency dropped to 120us. Drive temperature remained stable at 45-50°C. This configuration backup resolved the lag.
