How to reduce pump noise in Returnal with MasterLiquid B240?

During tense scenes in Returnal, the Cooler Master MasterLiquid B240 water pump noise suddenly increased, interfering with the game audio. I first tried lowering the fan speed, which reduced the noise but increased the temperature, a frustrating compromise. I then used the GamePP Fan Curve Configurator to reduce the water pump speed at 75°C from 2000 RPM to 1800 RPM and optimized the curve smoothness. AIDA64 monitoring showed the noise level dropped to an acceptable range.
