NVMe Queue Depth in Primal Carnage
I was annoyed by the 20ms initial load latency in Primal Carnage. My Gloway Dragon Warrior DDR5 6800MHz 16GB (8GB×2) was struggling with bandwidth. I tried lowering the memory frequency to see if it would help, but the latency actually increased to 25ms. That made things worse. I used GamePP’s NVMe Queue Depth Config to raise the queue depth from 512 to 1024. CrystalDiskMark now shows the load latency stable at 10ms. RTSS confirms a frame time of 5.1-6.4ms. The loading is fast, and the game feels responsive again.
