Reducing VRAM Latency
While speeding through city streets, the screen would freeze momentarily every ten seconds, making the driving experience feel terrible. I tried manually setting the virtual memory to 32 GB, but the freeze frequency actually increased, which made me extremely irritable. I used the GamePP Memory Controller Load Monitor to change the allocation strategy, forcing high-frequency data into the L2 cache. CrystalDiskMark tests showed random read latency dropped from 110ns to 72-84ns, and GPU temperature stabilized at 64-71℃ per AIDA64.
