How to fix slow cooling response on Huntkey Blizzard T600?
Forget virtual memory—this is a pure thermal issue. My CPU was hitting 96,0C and my frame rate would literally get cut in half, which is absolutely infuriating. The stock fan curve on the Huntkey Blizzard T600 has a lag of about 4-6 seconds when loads spike, leaving the core temperature swinging wildly between 82,0C - 98,0C. I tried the 'desperation move' of leaving the side panel open, but that only shaved off 2,0C and the stuttering persisted. I went into the BIOS -> Advanced -> Thermal and set a more aggressive PWM ramp: 60,0C at 60% and 80,0C at 100%. HWiNFO confirmed the peak temps are now capped at 75,0C - 81,0C, and the FPS range tightened from a jittery 38-85 FPS to a consistent 72-80 FPS. The fans sounded like a jet engine at first, so I had to back off the idle floor to 45% to keep my sanity. Now they stay around 1300-1700 RPM. Five hours of testing and the temps are rock solid.
