How to stop random reboots on ASRock Z370M Pro4 in Naraka?
This ancient board is basically gasping for air with modern games; every time the screen filled with effects, the system just rebooted. It was pathetic. The power delivery on the ASRock Z370M Pro4 couldn't handle the spikes, and the 12V rail was dipping by 0.15V. I wasted money on a new 850W Gold PSU first, but the reboots kept happening—total waste of cash. I eventually did a deep clean of the dust around the capacitors and disabled every single CPU power-saving state in the BIOS to stop the voltage from jumping around. In HWInfo, the Vcore swing narrowed from 1.15-1.28V down to a steady 1.22-1.25V. The trade-off was that idle temps jumped by 10℃, so I had to set my fan curves to full blast to keep it from melting. CPU temps sat at 72-81℃ and the VRM was 68-75℃. After five ranked matches, no more crashes, though the CPU is still running hot at 72-81℃.
