Kioxia G3 Smart TRIM Setup
The 200us random read/write latency in Horizon Online combat was causing unacceptable input lag. I initially tried disabling TRIM entirely, but AIDA64 showed performance actually degraded, making the stutter worse. I realized the default strategy wasn't optimized for this NVMe drive. I used the GamePP NVMe Configuration tool to enable the Smart TRIM strategy. Verification showed latency dropping to 120us, and GamePP NVMe Monitor confirmed drive temps at 45-50℃. The combat felt responsive again. I backed up this configuration immediately, knowing it was the only way to get consistent performance from my Kioxia drive.
