How to fix memory spikes on Jginyue X99M-PLUS D4 in Dead Space?

It was a total disaster. Trying to run this remake with only 8GB of RAM in 2026 is like trying to race a tractor on a highway—it stuttered every two minutes. Memory usage was pinned at 7.8GB, forcing the system to thrash the virtual memory and spiking disk I/O to 100%, which was beyond frustrating. I tried turning off all shadows and textures, but the game looked like a pixelated mess—a terrible compromise. I eventually moved the page file to my fastest NVMe partition and locked it at a fixed 16GB-16GB, while using a script to kill all non-essential background apps. In Resource Monitor, page faults dropped from 120/sec to 15-22/sec. I had one slow boot after the change, but disabling SuperFetch fixed it. Memory temps are 40-46℃. After exporting the config, the input lag is gone and the game finally feels responsive.
