How to fix Maxsun Challenger B850M-K memory instability in CS2?
It's honestly ridiculous that a brand new B850 board would have micro-stutters every three minutes in a game like CS2. Log analysis showed that at 6000MHz, there was just enough signal interference to cause 15-22 error corrections while loading map data. I first tried dropping the frequency to 5200MHz in the BIOS; the stutters stopped, but my 1% lows tanked from 180 FPS to 155 FPS, which was a depressing trade-off. Instead, I manually pushed the voltage from 1.25V to 1.35V and tightened the timings to 36-36-36-76 to force signal stability. MemTest ran for 4 hours with zero errors, and the stutters are completely gone. I actually tried a greedy 1.4V setting at one point, which triggered the motherboard's over-voltage protection and forced a reboot—scary stuff. Temps are sitting at 40-46℃. I used the board utility to back up these timing parameters, and the config is now locked in.
