How to fix Intel i5-13490F crashing in Battlefield 5?
It's honestly ridiculous that a 'sweet spot' CPU crashes during 64-player matches—the instability is just pathetic. The i5-13490F was fluctuating around 1.1V during heavy physics loads, which triggered a BSOD every time a big explosion went off. I tried the 'Power Saver' plan in Windows out of desperation, but my FPS tanked from 120 to 45, which was just depressing. I finally went into the BIOS, changed the Load-Line Calibration from Auto to L3 mode, and set a Vcore offset of +0.02V. In Cinebench R23 loops, the peak temp stayed between 78-84℃, and the game hasn't crashed once since. I actually tried +0.05V at first, but the CPU spiked to 92℃, so I had to redo my fan curves to bring it back down to 80℃. VRM temps are stable at 65-72℃.
