How to stop frequent stutters in A Plague Tale: Requiem?

I've had enough; despite a PCIe 4.0 drive, I'd stutter every few meters in open areas, which was an awful experience. I tried installing the game on a different partition, but the stutters returned after an hour of play regardless of the drive, which made me furious. I went into GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration, set the depth to 2048, and enabled forced write cache refresh. RivaTuner showed frame times converged to 14-18ms, AIDA64 monitored the drive at 45-52℃, and GamePP tracked write drops below 800MB/s.
