Optimizing WD SN770 for Witcher Remake
I was frustrated by texture tearing while traversing Velen in The Witcher Remake. I tried using system defaults, but it caused a frequency downshift and dropped the frame rate to 45 FPS. I then accessed GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration and increased the queue depth from 32 to 256 on my Western Digital WD Black SN770 1TB. GamePP Frame Time Analyzer showed frame generation converged from 15ms to 10ms, and CrystalDiskMark confirmed 4K random read speed jumped from 80MB/s to 220MB/s, finally stabilizing the open world experience.
