Why is my Ryzen 7 9700X stuttering in The Hunt?
During high-frequency tracking sequences, I noticed my Ryzen 7 9700X clock speeds were jumping wildly between 4.2GHz - 5.3GHz according to HWiNFO. This unstable scheduling caused frame times to swing from 12ms - 28ms in RTSS, creating a jittery experience that was honestly a nightmare. I initially tried enabling PBO auto-overclocking in the BIOS, but that just pushed core temps to 92°C in AIDA64, triggering thermal throttling which left me totally confused. I then fired up the GamePP Power Plan Switcher to force the system into Extreme Performance mode and tweaked the game process priority. Checking the GamePP Hardware Sensor Page, the clocks finally leveled out at 5.
