Stabilizing CPU Frequency
While exploring a creepy abandoned hospital, I noticed the CPU frequency jumping wildly between 2.6-4.2GHz per AIDA64, causing periodic micro-stutters that broke my immersion. I first tried enabling Enhanced Multi-Core Performance in the BIOS, but the core temperature spiked to 91℃ per AIDA64, triggering thermal throttling, which was a completely inefficient attempt. I then used the GamePP Power Plan Switcher to lock the system into Ultimate Performance mode and optimized C-state management. The frame time stabilized at 11-15ms per RTSS, and the CPU temperature remained at 68-75℃ per AIDA64, while VRM temps hit 64-71℃ per HWInfo.
