Preventing Downclocking in Remnant II
I was chasing a mechanical beast in Remnant II when my frame rate stuttered badly. AIDA64 showed my CPU hitting 92°C, triggering throttling. I tried setting the fan to full speed in BIOS, but the noise was unbearable, like a plane taking off. So, I used the GamePP Fan Curve Config panel to lock the fan at 600 RPM below 65°C and ramp it to 1400 RPM above 75°C. This refined approach kept the noise under 45 dB while managing heat. AIDA64 stress test confirmed the peak temperature dropped to 81°C, stabilizing the game.
