How to fix memory scheduling lag on Asgard Thor DDR5 6400?
While speeding through anomalous zones, I noticed my Asgard Thor DDR5 6400 32GB kit hitting latency spikes of 18-25ms when handling massive amounts of random objects. This caused the frame times to jump all over the place, making the screen tear like crazy during high-speed movement. I first tried enabling 'Ultimate Performance' mode in Windows, but while the CPU stayed clocked high, the memory latency didn't budge, which was honestly baffling. I eventually dove into the BIOS and manually tightened the primary timings from 32-39-39-76 down to 30-38-38-72, then used a process manager to force the game onto the P-Cores. Monitoring with AIDA64 showed latency dropping from around 88ns to a steady 72-76ns, and the scene loading became a night and day difference. I did hit two random BSODs when I first pushed the timings, but bumping the memory voltage from 1.35V to 1.40V finally locked it in. Memory temps sat between 52-58℃, with the VRM area hitting 60-65℃. After checking the performance logs, the resource scheduling is finally optimized, with frame times stabilizing at 5.1-6.4ms.
