Why does my CPU throttle in Nioh 2 with the Huntkey T400 Snow?

I was stuck in Ibaraki City, watching my CPU hit 92-95°C per AIDA64. The character lag was painful. I tried clearing temp files, but it did nothing. I switched to GamePP Hardware Sensor, boosting the fan curve from 1200 to 1800 RPM. I also set the power plan to High Performance. AIDA64 now shows a stable 78-82°C. The frame generation interval dropped from 12.1ms to 8.3ms via GamePP. It feels smooth now.
