Why does my Need for Speed steering lag on high-speed highway drifts?

Drifting on the highway felt like fighting the wheel. I tried clearing temp files, but AIDA64 still showed memory usage at 32.5-36.8GB. I used GamePP Resource Scheduler to set priority to Real-time. RTSS confirmed frame time dropped from 12.3-18.1ms to 6.1-7.4ms. The controls feel crisp now.
