Fixing Metro Loading Stalls
I felt totally immersed in those eerie underground tunnels until the loading screen stalled at 90% repeatedly. It was a complete mood killer. I tried disabling the write cache in Windows for stability, but it backfired, increasing load times by 4 seconds. Finally, I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to bump the depth from 1024 to 2048 and enabled forced write cache flush. Now, CrystalDiskMark shows 4K reads jumped from 58-65 to 78-85 MB/s, and HWiNFO64 confirms temps are a steady 48-54℃.
