Playing Forza Horizon 5 open world loads my Samsung 9100 PRO PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 SSD 8TB kept getting hammered by background stuff making frames bounce all over the place and controls feel sluggish. Popped open Task Manager and saw those services hogging memory so I cleared some out and things got way more responsive right away though track switches still had minor dips under heavy load. Tweaked process priority next and load times dropped noticeably with smoother overall feel. Honestly at first I skipped the power plan tweak and it took a couple tries to nail the combo but folks on forums mention the same headache. Saved the config and runs rock steady now. For this SSD the read write punch is killer but yeah cooling demands ramp up. Even after the tweak high load spots still show some limitations in the heat department but it sure beats the original stutter fest.
