How can I stop my Sapphire 9070 XT from thermal throttling in Elden Ring?

The heat from my 9070 XT was making Elden Ring unplayable during long sessions. I maxed out my case fans, but AIDA64 still reported 85C peaks, causing 15% performance loss. That was frustrating.
