Solving NVMe Read Latency
I felt absolute despair when entering Limgrave; the game would just freeze for a split second, which is fatal during Boss fights. I tried disabling all unnecessary startup items in Windows, but the frame drops remained exactly the same, proving it was an I/O scheduling issue. I then used the GamePP Resource Scheduler to force the disk access priority to Real-time and bumped the queue depth from 1024 to 2048. RTSS confirmed frame time converged from 18-42ms to 11-14ms, and HWMonitor showed temps at 58-65℃. AIDA64 also measured 4K random read latency at 12-45ms.
