Solving I/O Blocking Issues
While leaping between city skyscrapers, I wondered if a PCIe 3.0 drive could maintain smooth flow, but I hit severe stutters. I first tried disabling write caching in the system to reduce latency, but loading times actually spiked from 12 to 25 seconds, which was a total disaster. I then used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to increase the queue from 32 to 128. After this, random read throughput jumped to 58-66 MB/s per GamePP tool, I/O wait time dropped to 8ms via GamePP sensor, and temps stayed at 44-52℃ per AIDA64.
