Stop Noctua NH-D15S Resonance in Dota 2
During a 50-player Dota 2 team fight, the NH-D15S dual fans hit a low-frequency resonance that broke my immersion. I tried limiting both fans to 1200 RPM, but HWiNFO showed core temps spiking to 85°C, causing thermal throttling. Frustrated, I used GamePP Fan Curve Config to set asymmetric speeds: 1000 RPM front and 1400 RPM rear. This differential broke the resonance. Decibel Meter readings dropped from 45dB to 32-35dB, while HWiNFO confirmed stable 68-72°C temps. The audio clarity is back.
