How to stop the Huntkey Blizzard T620 from screaming in Days Gone?
Whenever a massive horde swarmed the screen, my case started emitting this incredibly sharp, cicada-like screeching that drove me nuts. After running a spectrum analysis, I found the whine peaked when the GPU's transient power spiked between 220W - 260W, causing the inductors in the Huntkey Blizzard T620 to hit a physical resonance point. I first tried disabling all C-State power-saving options in the BIOS, but while the noise dimmed, my CPU idle power draw literally doubled, which was a total dealbreaker. I then tried a slight voltage offset of +0.02V on the motherboard's load line and switched the Windows Power Plan to High Performance to keep the current output steady. Using a decibel meter, I watched the high-frequency noise drop from 42dB down to around 31dB, and that piercing sensation finally vanished. It wasn't a smooth ride, though; the system randomly rebooted twice at low loads until I dialed the offset back to +0.01V for total stability. With the PSU temps sitting at 35℃ - 42℃ and fans humming steadily between 800 - 1100 RPM, a four-hour stress test confirmed the resonance point was bypassed. The settings are locked in, but I'm still wary of future BIOS updates messing this up.
