Tuning RT500 Digital for The Hunt tech demo?
The lighting and shadows in the forest are breathtaking, but the performance was a disaster. The tiny fins on the RT500 Digital just can't keep up with 180W spikes; I was hitting 92℃ in about 12 seconds. I tried enabling PBO auto-overclocking in the BIOS, which was a huge mistake—the system hit 102℃ and shut down instantly. That was a wake-up call regarding the physical limits of this cooler. I ended up capping PL1 at 105W and PL2 at 130W, and shortened the fan response time to 0.1 seconds. RTSS shows clocks are now holding steady at 4.3GHz - 4.6GHz, with frames sitting between 80 - 90 FPS. I lost about 4% in single-core speed, but a -0.02V offset helped recover most of it. Temps are now 78℃ - 84℃. It's a struggle to keep this chip cool with such a small heatsink.
