How to improve 4K random read speeds on Great Wall GW3300 2TB SSD?
When you're slingshotting through NYC at max speed and the building textures just 'pop' into existence, it's a total immersion killer. The Great Wall GW3300 2TB is solid for sequential stuff, but it struggled with the high-frequency 4K random reads needed for this game, with latency bouncing between 85-110ns. I tried lowering texture quality in the settings, but the game looked like a PS2 title, so I scrapped that immediately. I updated to the latest AMD chipset drivers, forced the drive into NVMe optimized mode, and tweaked the I/O priority in the registry. Random read speeds jumped from 35MB/s to 52MB/s, and the popping completely vanished.
