Fix Silent Hill 2 Lag
The visuals are incredible, but the experience was ruined by micro-stutters while moving through the fog. I tried updating the BIOS, which failed and actually caused me to lose my XMP profiles. I opened the GamePP Resource Scheduler to reassign CPU affinity and set memory priority to Real-time. Frame times converged to 11-14ms per RTSS, memory temperatures stayed at 52-58℃ per AIDA64, and CPU temps remained within 65-85℃ per GamePP. The atmosphere is finally oppressive again.
