Fixing Pacific Drive Tearing with G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3600
Man, the difference is insane! After tweaking the numbers, the tearing just vanished and the game became buttery smooth. Looking back, even though my G.Skill Trident Z hits 3600MHz, the sampling rate and refresh rate were totally out of sync during high-speed driving sequences. I tried turning on V-Sync first, but the input lag became so atrocious that the game was literally unplayable. I then dove into the GamePP DLSS/FSR Image Sample Calibrator, bumping the rendering sample rate from 1.0 to 1.2 and aligning the frame generation interval. In RivaTuner, the frame time graph finally looked like a perfect straight line. Using GamePP's quick profiles, I managed to switch.
