Preventing CPU Thermal Throttling
I was thrilled to experience hunting in 4K, but that excitement turned to confusion when CPU temps spiked to 88-94℃ during attacks, cutting my FPS in half. I tried enabling Full Speed mode in the BIOS; while it dropped temps by 5℃, the fan noise sounded like a helicopter, which was unacceptable. I used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration to set a steep linear increase between 75-85℃. Cinebench R23 confirmed a stable 4.8GHz clock, AIDA64 showed CPU temperatures at 76-82℃, and GamePP monitored memory temps at 42-48℃.
